Hibiscus Medical is excited to announce its grand opening. Located in Northeast Washington. D.C., Hibiscus Medical is an African American, immigrant, woman and Veteran-spouse-owned practice providing comprehensive primary care to adults at an easily accessible location.
Hibiscus Medical is a primary care practice that offers annual wellness exams, mental health services, women’s services, treatment of STDs and STIs, sick visits, COVID-19 testing, care of chronic conditions, and more. Owner Debralee Frederick, MD, is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and she has experience as a physician in both internal and hospital medicine.

“One of the things I enjoy most about the practice of medicine is the opportunity to form deep connections with patients. I count it an honor to be entrusted with their most private health information. I take my role as a physician seriously and I want my patients to feel they can trust me completely,” said Debralee Frederick, MD.
Debralee Frederick, MD, is dedicated to providing quality, accessible care to her community—which is why Hibiscus Medical is conventionally located via car, metro or bus. Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Debralee Frederick, MD, moved to the United States when she was 14. The area’s diversity is one of her favorite things about living in Washington, D.C., and she is passionate about providing high-quality services to patients regardless of nationality, ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation and socioeconomic status.
Hibiscus Medical is not your average medical office. Filled with tropical foliage, flower imagery and a welcoming water feature in the waiting area, the office pays homage to an oasis of paradise. Ultimately designed to help patients relax, Debralee Frederick, MD, hopes that patients feel at home when they visit. After all, the office design reflects Dr. Frederick’s Caribbean heritage.
